You Color my World

Hello friends! I hope you are all doing well! In previous posts I talked about trying really hard to craft from my stash in this new year, and not buy anything new. I’ve been pretty good adhering to that…. other than a few things here and there. Sometimes you just can’t say no, LOL!

Today’s card is using something from my stash. A sweet friend sent me this Pure Innocence Color My World Stamp and Die Set by My Favorite Things a while back and I was so happy. I haven’t used it nearly enough, so I decided it was time to play with it again!

This is what I came up with. It’s pretty simple, but I was happy with the finished product. I bought the stencil from Amazon a long while ago and not sure of the brand name because my packaging is gone (sorry!) I used Distress Oxide Inks for my sunray and colored this cutie in with Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful day! until the next time… Happy Stamping!

Winter Slimline Scene Card

Hello friends! If you follow me regularly, you know I am NOT a fan of snow, but yesterday was a snow day for me and I LOVED it! No where to go, nothing to do but make cards… Perfection!

In my last post, I mentioned that I was going to try to craft with my stash in 2021. During this pandemic I have done waaay too much shopping and have so many unused stamps, dies and stencils just waiting to be used. Now, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t going to buy anything at all, but I want to focus on what I already have.

On to my card… I’ve always loved house scenes and the Pure Innocence cuties. I saw a match made in heaven with the two combined!

I was really happy with how this card turned out! I’ll definitely be making more of these:) I used MFT Brick Stencil, Mama Elephant Slimline Window, PI Winter Kisses and Taylored Expressions Simple Strips. The little kitty in the window is a sticker from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by today! Wishing you all a wonderful day. Until the next time… Happy Stamping!

Cityscape Slimline Card

Hello! Wishing you all a happy February 1st! Where did January go? Not sure how it slipped away so fast, but I’m definitely happy we’re another month closer to springtime! As I write this post, outside my window there’s 2 inches of snow falling per hour… YUCK!

Lately, I have been obsessed with ink blended backgrounds. I think it’s almost therapeutic for me, LOL! Over the weekend, I purchased some Hero Arts Reactive Inks and I love them! The colors are soooo vibrant!

I began my background with some simple masking. I used a circle punch, punched out my circle from a post it note, and placed it on my card. I began blending blues and purple, and VOILA, background done! I finished it off by splattering white acrylic paint. so much fun!

I die cut my city scape ( I believe I ordered it from Amazon). Sorry I can’t remember where I got it, I have countless stamps and dies that I’ve had for a long time just waiting to be used! I added a heart and a bus from my stash and finished it off with a SimpleStrips sentiment by Taylor Expressions.

My plan for 2021 is to go through my mountains of unused , and used stamps and dies and give them the love they deserve;) I also want to enter more challenges. How about you? Thanks for stopping by today! Until the next time… Happy Stamping!
