A Colorful Life Designs Stencils on Cards

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! I have some news to share with you… I’m so excited to have joined A Colorful Life Designs Design Team! I have long LOVED their stencils and love using them on my cards! If you like stenciling cards, you’re definitely going to want to check out their stencils!

Sun and Surf Stencil is a favorite of mine! Love the circular shape! I enjoy making summer cards, and mixing and matching my summer stamps and dies!

I LOVE Mosaic Starfish Stencil ! I paired it with some seashells and an anchor and had a fun summer themed card!

Do you struggle with masculine cards like I do?

I made this Mini Slimline card using Art Fish Stencil that works perfectly for a masculine card and fits PERFECTlY on a slimline. I made several of these to keep in my stash for the fishermen guys in my life! Super fun and easy to make!

Making scene cards are so much fun, especially with little critters! I used the Tree Grove Stencil to make my forest background. I think it makes the perfect background!

Lastly, I have another Mini Slimline to share with you, but this time a floral one…

I love this Three Bloom Wildflower Stencil! I think it’s so pretty and dainty. I’m sending this one out for a card drive to someone in need of some cheer. I hope this card brings some sunshine to her day!

Looking Glass Die Cards

Hello! It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted here. Life has been so busy! I made it through a very busy school year teaching during a pandemic, became a grandmother to a beautiful baby girl, and… just retired to become a full time grandmother! I’m looking forward to having more time to spend with her and to make cards! I recently went on vacation and while I was away, I found a stamping store. Sigh…. I was in heaven and treated myself to some new stamps and dies!

One of my finds was the new Hero Arts Looking Glass Dies! I wanted them ALL, but only bought two. They are so much fun!

I had to have the LightHouse set. It consists of 3 dies that you layer. Here is the card I made!

I love the dimension and 3D effect of these dies. I colored my diecuts with Arteza Brush Pens, but you could just cut different colors of cardstock to create your scene. I used a wooden stamp for my sentiment, but not sure the maker of it… I’ve had it for many, many years!

My next sample was fun to make, too. I used the Day or Night Set. This set also came with 3 dies, but I only used 2 of them because I chose to make a daytime scene.

I love how this turned out! I made a frame around my scene using Hero Arts Square Infinity Dies and added a sentiment using Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Background Stamps and Dies . I finished it off by adding a few sequins to add a bit more interest.

If you like these cards, you should check these dies out. You can mix and match scenes, or even add them to a slimline card. Fun! I’ll be watching for more releases of these dies!
