Birthday Wishes Cat Card

Hello everyone!  Today I’m sharing a birthday card that I made for my brother. Every year I make him a cat themed card… Although he doesn’t own a cat, he takes care of all the stray cats in his rural neighborhood.  I joke with him all the time, and tell him all of the homeless cats send out messages to show up at his door step for free food and water;) He’s managed to catch a few and bring them to shelters, but they just keep showing up!

Here’s my card!

I used the following supplies to make this card: The brick embossing folder is by Darcie, the window die is by Sizzix/Tim Holtz, the balloon die is by Sizzix, the sentiment and party hat is by The Stamps of Life, the fence is a die by Sizzix and the cactus plant die is made by Spellbinders.  The cat stamp is a very old one that I purchased from a Craft Fair long ago….The tree button , I had in my stash.

I tried to keep my  card on the masculine side, which is why I used burlap for the curtains and the color palette I chose. Off to the mailbox it goes tomorrow!  I hope it puts a smile on his face:)

Thanks for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!

Happy Celebrations

Hello everyone!  I hope the start of the week is going well for you.  Tomorrow, I head back to work after having the whole summer off (HUGE SIGH)…. I look forward to meeting our new Kindergartners, but the summer sure flew by!

Today,  I have a quick share of two CAS cards.  I’m working on some samples of cards that go together quickly for some of my upcoming stamping classes.  I used chalksayings2stamp/morechalksayings2stamp from The Stamps of Life to create these two cards.

This first card went together very fast and uses washi tape.  I have a collection of different tapes, but never think to use them…  I like how this one turned out, and it makes me want to make more using my washi tape.

I embellished with confetti, a sequin, twine and I was done. I used the coordinating die to cut out my sentiment. Easy peasy:)

My next card went together quickly too.  I paired chalksayings2stamp with candles4birthday also by The Stamps of Life.

I  also die cut some glitter stars for more color and interest.

Clean and Simple cards can be challenging for me, because I tend to embellish and use all of my card real estate. However, I am happy with the look of these cards and how they turned out.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time… Happy Stamping!

Shabby Chic Stamped Bridal Shower

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re having a wonderful and restful weekend.  Today, I’m not exactly sharing all cards, but a combination of a few things.  This past weekend, I hosted a bridal shower for my future daughter-in law at my home, along with her sister and stamped many of our decorations.  Although it was a very hot day, it was just perfect and beautiful!

This is what our shower invitation looked like. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but it’s purple and white.  I used the Gate Fold Card Die Set by The Stamps of Life, here.

IMG_3377These were our shower favors.  I used TSOL lemonade2drink stamp and die set for the tags on the canning jar glasses, and also used Sizzix/SB Scalloped Circle Dies for our sign.

I used Sizzix/SB Banner Dies and stamped them to make my card basket.20160814_125116

No stamping here, but we wrapped all of the silverware in napkins and paper doilies:)

I decorated pre-cut banners too with computer generated words, doilies and a flower punch.

I used the same Scalloped Circle Die (see shower favor photo above for link) to make beverage signs.

I also decorated some burlap with some old time high school pictures of my son and soon to be daughter-in-law.  They have been together for 11 years…all through high school, college and then some!

I die cut some felt flowers, and who doesn’t love old Scrabble Game tiles?

We had some games too! My soon to be daughter-in -law’s sister put these together.

Scarecrow Cards

Hello everyone! I hope your day is going well.  Today I have two fun scarecrow cards to share with you.  A few months back,  I was one of the lucky gallery winners over at The Stamps of Life.  Each month you enter your cards into their  gallery featuring the new stamp of the month, and they choose two winners.  The winners get to choose any stamp set they want, I chose scarecrow2stamp and purchased the coordinating die set. Out of all the stamps I own, I did not have a scarecrow, so I was happy to add this set to my collection:)

For my first card, I made it a flip-it, I LOVE flip-its.  This one is the Sizzix/SB 5×7 Circle Flip-Its Card Set you can find here. I also used the basket die and Leaf Triplits along with the Stitched Circle Dies. The patterned paper is also by TSOL called Happiness Collection. I colored the scarecrow with a combination of colored pencils and markers.

My next card is similar to the one above.  I used patterned paper from Happiness Collection again and the Leaf Triplits. (see the link above) . I added the Sizzix/SB Fence Die to this one and stamped a sentiment on the leaf that comes with the set.

These cards went together very quickly, the most time consuming thing was the coloring.  I think these cards will be perfect to teach in my upcoming fall class!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time… Happy Stamping!

More Apple Cards

Hello everyone!  In my last post, I shared some cards I made  with my new The Stamps of Life Club Set called apples2stamp, I’m back today with a few more.  I’ve been having lots of fun creating with this versatile set!

The first one is a school themed card.  I’m in the field of education and will be heading back to school in just a couple of weeks… It’s always a bittersweet feeling!  Although fall is a beautiful season here in New England, I’m definitely a summer time girl, and hate to see it come to an end!

To make this card I used the 5×7 Circle Flip-Its Card Die Set by Sizzix/SB and the kids2love stamp set also by TSOL.

I love this DP I had in my stash, and the little stickers worked out perfectly too:)

Next up, is a step-up card.  I used the Basic Step-Ups Card Die Set by Sizzix/SB.  along with my club set and basket die you can find at TSOL.

IMG_2054

Last up, is a basic card, but I love the bold and vivid primary colors!

The stitched Square Dies I used for layering are made by TSOL along with the patterned paper called Happy Collection. The flowers were created using Sizzx/SB Mini Flower Dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time… Happy Stamping!

Apple Cards

Hello everyone!  I hope your weekend is going well.  It’s the beginning of the month which means a new Stamps of Life Club Set for me!  It’s called apples2stamp.  I especially like this set because I work in a school, and have so many ideas of how I can incorporate it into our kindergarten classroom:)  I also have a son who is getting married at an apple farm in October and have some ideas for that as well!  I have many plans for this set, but for today I’m sharing two. All stamps and dies I used are by The Stamps of Life.

For my first card, I paired my club set with crayons2stamp and the Notebook Edge Die.

IMG_2049 (1)

I love this word die that came with the set!

Next, is a 5×7 Flip-Its card that can be found here. I used the Stitched Squares Die Set to layer under my apple to give it a little more interest.  This card was so easy to make from start to finish!

IMG_2050

I could easily see myself making these for my coworkers at school:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!

Friendship Cards

Hello everyone!!! I hope you’re all well and enjoying these summer days that are quickly slipping away….. I’m blessed to have my summer’s off, but will be heading back to school in just a few weeks!

Today I’m sharing a few cards that I’m entering into a challenge at Dragonfly Journeys. The theme of this challenge is ~Chin Up Buttercup~

I have three cards I’m teaching at a local studio in my area that work perfectly for this challenge:)

First up, is a card that uses tshirt2stamp stamp & die set by The Stamps of Life.  It’s an older club set that I haven’t used in a while, but I love! The tag die and sentiment can also be found over at TSOL.

IMG_2048

For my next card I used a fun die set called Royal Stand-Ups Die Card Set by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard that you can find here. The stamps I used are a million years old…Well okay, maybe not that old, but I’ve had them forever! The sentiment is by Inkadinkadoo and the flowers are a stamped and punched out with a coordinating punch I got at a craft fair years ago.

IMG_2045 (1)

I absolutely love this sentiment, it’s so true!

On my next card, I used a retired Stampin Up set from 2006 called Mix and Mingle. I sort of forgot that I even owned it…I should clean my shelves and shelves of stamps more often!

IMG_2047

The scalloped circles and tag dies are made by Sizzix/SB and can be found here.

Lastly, I have one last card to share for today.  It’s a flip-its card.  I’ve shared a very similiar version of this card in the past, but I wanted to teach it, so I slightly changed it.

Here’s a peek of the inside!

To make this card I used all products from TSOL. I used: Sizzix/SB Large Circle #4 Flip-Its, Stitched Circle Dies, camera2stamp stamp & die set and faces4stamps.
