Advice for the New Year Card

Hello!  I hope you’re having a wonderful day.  My mother always told me that the older you get, the faster time goes by.  I hate to admit I’m getting older, but her words could not be more true.  Today I’m sharing a couple of cards with you, and this first one is a reminder to myself of what I need to try harder to do in 2016.

Good advice, right?  I just need to implement it!  I entered this card into the Wednesday sketch challenge SC573 here. To make this card I used: Hampton Art stamp for the sentiment, Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Flowers & Vase Set, Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Tags & Words Die Set, Sizzix Borders, Adhesive pearls, ribbon, Provo Craft embossing folder, markers and glitter.

I just can’t get enough of these box cards, and had to make one more Happy New Year’s card!  They’re so much fun to make with endless possibilities!  I found out by trial that they make it one piece through the postal service too:)  !!!  I entered this card into a challenge at Dragonfly Journey  here

Birthday Celebrations

Hello!  I hope you’re surviving these post holiday days… First time ever for me, no returns!  Now to get back to eating healthy, but I guess that can wait until January 1st!

I have a couple of family birthdays before the end of this month, so today I’m sharing a couple birthday cards with you.  All of the stamps and dies I used can be found at Stamps of Life

My first card uses: Friends Forever Step-Up Card Set, Hello Die, chalksayings2stamp, Sizzix Flower Dies, and Sizzix Tags & Words

I don’t typically use pastel colors, but I love this color combo!

My next card uses a few different TSOL sets as well.  I used: happymail2stamp, Large Rectangle Dies, balloons2cut and spinner2stamp

Happy New Year Spinner Card

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas holiday.  I had a fabulous day with my family.  My family is my world, and to have all three of my boys home at the same time is the best gift ever!  I also got some wonderful news…  My oldest son got engaged :). Life is good!

Today I decided to make a New Year’s card.  I used the Royal Stand-Up Card Set by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard to make my card base.  I also used spinner2stamp and banners4all. The Happy New Year sentiment is a retired stamp from SU.  The Stars were cut from a die, and the patterned paper is made by TSOL.  It went together very quickly, so I think I may make a few different versions of these to send out.  I think it’s a fun card, and the spinner actually spins:) You can find the supplies I used athttps//:thestampsoflife.com

Happy New Year’s Card

Hello!  I hope you’re surviving the hustle and bustle of the holiday season!  I feel like I’m finally starting to get excited for it.   I’m happy to say that I baked my last Christmas cookie and wrapped my last gift today…. (HUGE SIGH)!  I’ve been fighting off a cold, and  it’s such a relief to cross two more things off of my “to do” list.  To keep my sanity in check, I also managed to make it to the gym and create a couple of cards today.  That always gets me to my “happy place”.  Since all of my Christmas cards are mailed out, I decided to make a fun New Year’s card in a box.  I can’t get enough of these box cards lately:)

To make my box card, I used The Stamps of Life products.

I used the new Box Card Die paired with balloons2cut, star dies and glittery number stickers.  I also curled my ribbon and added it for more dimension and texture.  This was fun to create, and I thought it was perfect for the upcoming new year that is right around the corner! Isn’t this fun?

I have one more card to share with you that also uses The Stamps of Life stamps, dies and patterned paper.

Lucky me, at the beginning of the month I won this Flip-its Card Die Set called Lively Flip-its in a contest!  This is the first chance I’ve had to play with it, and I love it!  I also used happymail2stamp with dies, Hello Sunshine Triplits, snowman2build, Friends Forever Step-Up,  and a fence die.

Flowers in a Box

Hello!  Phew, it’s been a busy weekend…. Christmas is approaching way too fast!  I’m happy to say that I have completed my shopping as of today, but do not have a single gift wrapped.  I’ll save that for another day!  I have a quick box card to share with you today.  No stamping, just dies and a completed project in minutes.  I used the Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Box Card Die Set and the Triplits Bee Set to make this.  It’s so quick and easy and can be found at https://thestampsoflife.com

  
I think this is my new fave set that I own! I LOVE how quick and easy you can assemble a box card.  The best part is that it easily folds and fits right into an A4 envelope to mail!  Fun, right?

More Happy Mail

Hello!  I hope the start of your week is going well.  I’m back today to share more cards using the December Stamps of Life Club set called happymail2stamp.  I’ve been having lots of fun playing with this  set, and can already tell it will be a favorite of mine!

My first card uses the Heart Step-Up Card Set by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard and will be perfect for Valentine’s Day, or even an anniversary.  I love the little bird holding the envelope:)

  

For this card I also used TSOL bicycle2stamp w/ dies, which just happens to be another favorite of mine!

Happy Mail

Hello!  Today I’m sharing a couple of cards I made using my new Die Hard Club Set from The Stamps of Life called happymail2stamp.  I just got it today, and yes, it was MY happy mail!!!  I absolutely love this new set and have so many ideas, but for today I’m sharing two cards I made.

I used the new Box Card Die Set by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard which was happy mail that came for me last week;)  Along with the happymail2stamp Stamp & Die Set I also used a few stickers to embellish.

Isn’t that little bird so cute in his Santa hat?!

The next card uses a few different stamp & die sets from TSOL.  I used happymail2stamp, stocking2stamp, Happy Birthday Step-Up Card Die Set for the gifts and Forever Friends Step-Up Card Die Set to make my greenery on the mailbox.

Snowman in a Box

Hello!  It’s so hard to believe today is December 1st, although the weather is definitely beginning to feel like it here in New England! Today I’m sharing a Box Die card that I got in the mail today.  It was a Black Friday deal over at The Stamps of Life that I just HAD to HAVE!  I’ve made them in the past, but this was sooooo much easier having all the die pieces.  It came with lots of flowers and sentiments, but I chose to go with a snowman theme.

To make this card I used snowman2stamp w/dies and chalksayings2stamp w/ dies all from http://thestampsoflife.com  The snowflakes were made using  a Martha Stewart punch
