CONGRATULATIONS!

Hello!  A couple of days ago I went to a Scrapbooking Convention, and boy did I shop!  The first booth I went to was THE STAMPS OF LIFE, I was in stamp heaven:). I got to meet Stephanie, Ken and Fayleen!  Then came the hard decision of what to buy… Of course I wanted one of EVERYTHING!  The check out line took about 40 minutes to go through, which just goes to show how awesome and reasonably priced their products are!  After visiting all of the vendors, I actually went back to their booth for yet another round of decisions and shopping!  Phew!   All this while my husband sat in the lobby and waited for me.  What a guy, definitely a keeper!

Today’s card is one I made with my new stamps and dies all from THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  I thought the kite stamp was a fun and happy one.  It’s called kites2stamp and comes with some great sayings and patterns for the kite with matching dies.  I made the sky by sponging over a scallop shape I punched out with ink.  The window and butterfly was made by using SIZZIX WINDOWS FRAMELITS WITH STAMPS.  It comes with so many great little stamps and dies to fit in the window.

I had a lot of fun making this card.  To me it’s fun, happy and cheerful!  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, happy stamping!

FIGHT LIKE A GIRL

Happy Saturday!  I hope it’s been a great one for you.  Today I would like to share a card I made for one of my coworkers, that is fighting this horrible thing called cancer!  Everything I used are products from my favorite place to shop, THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  I just got this great step-up card, and love it!  It comes with so many awesome dies!  If you haven’t checked it out yet, hop on over to THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  The front of the card was stamped using a flower stamp from the SIZZIX WINDOWS FRAMELITS WITH STAMPS, and the tag die is from SIZZIX too.  The main set I used is ribbon4cure which comes with some great sentiments.  Sadly, I’ve made quite a few of these lately:(. One of the sayings in the set is cancer stinks, which is so true, it has no mercy on who it strikes!  On that note, thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Today I’m sharing a card that doesn’t have a whole lot of stamping on it,  just die cutting.  This is a card I made for my sister and her husband.  Hopefully she doesn’t stop by here today, and her first time seeing it will be when the mailman delivers it to her!  It was fast to make, and I think later I’ll make a set in different colors and occasions.

The paper I used is from STAMPIN’UP called Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.  Coastal Cabana is one of my all time favorites, I just love it!  Speaking of favorites, I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder from Provo Craft which I love too.  The ovals were cut by using dies from SPELLBINDERS.  The butterfly is made from a punch, but I don’t know who made it.  I’ve had it for a long time, and there’s no brand name on it (sorry!)… The tags are a die from SIZZIX and the sentiment from STAMPIN’UP. The big question was whether to add diamonds or pearls to the butterfly….The pearls gave it the look I was going for.  As I said, this was simple, but elegant!  I don’t know about you, but I like to make quick cards.  My attention span is not too long, LOL:). Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

HELLO CARD

Hello!  I hope you’re having a great day.  Today I’m sharing a card with you that I used STAMPIN’UP products on.  The stamp set is called WORK OF ART.  I bought this set a while back, but really haven’t done much with it.  It’s that funny thing called “time”, or should I say lack of, that gets in the way.  I’m on vacation this week, Yippee:)!  I’ve been to Boston, New York City and going to a Stamping Convention on Friday.  A fun filled week so far…

Back to the card… It was easy to make, and I thought it was “fresh looking”.  I used these SU colors of candy dots, ink and paper: Tempting Turquoise, Strawberry Slush and Daffodil Yellow.  The sentiment is made by THE STAMPS OF LIFE and the flowers were made by a punch from EK SUCCESS.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!  Happy Stamping:)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

You can tell spring is here…. The birds are singing early in the morning, and the temperatures are definitely warming up!  (Big Sigh…). If you live in New England, you definitely know what I’m talking about.  It was one of the worse winters ever!   I couldn’t resist making another BIRDCAGE2STAMP card from THE STAMPS OF LIFE, so here it is. The DP is from COLORBOK and the rest from my stash.  I have a huge box full that I’m trying to use up:). The tag was cut using SIZZIX FRAMELITS TAGS AND WORDS.  The music notes are just stickers I found at Walmart. Thanks for taking time out of your day to stop by:). Have a wonderful day!  Feel free to leave any questions or comments.

CONGRATULATIONS!

My card today is in honor of my brother who is a police officer.  He was just promoted to Lieutenant on a very busy police force.  I think I mentioned this before, but I often struggle with masculine cards.  I like a lot of razzle  and dazzle on my cards, and you can’t always do that with “manly” cards LOL;) I thought I would share this with you before it gets dropped in the mailbox later today.

This morning I took a quick trip to Walmart for some yogurt and milk, and ended up leaving with two new Pads of designer paper by COLORBOK.  One of them is called AMERICANA and I used it on this card.  I would have been better off driving the few extra moments to Stop and Shop, because I bought many other things in addition to this… When can you ever go to Walmart and just pick up those one or two things?  Nope, never happens!

Back to the card…. everything I used other than the paper and twine is made by THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  The sentiment and banner is from a stamp/die set called CHALKSAYINGS2STAMP, the hot air balloon is from a stamp/die set called HOT4BALLOONS ( an absolute favorite of mine:), and lastly the tag and  you rock saying is from TAGS AND WORDS by SIZZIX which can be found over at TSOL.

Hope you’re having a great Saturday!  Today starts my April vacation of one week off from school.  I have many things planned, and one will surely be stamping!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Light it up

Today’s card is in honor of “Light it up Blue for Autism Awareness”.  A coworker of mine, who works in a program for autistic children, asked me to make a card for her boss under this theme.  Immediately I remembered this set of lamp stamps made by HERO ARTS.  I can’t even remember the last time I used this set… I’m not sure why, because they really are cute.  This was a quick and simple card, but I think it captured the theme perfectly:). Now off to work I go… I hope you have a Marvelous Monday!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by today:)

Tweet Me

I have another fun card to share using my new club set from THE STAMPS OF LIFE!  It’s called BIRDCAGE2STAMP.  This is a fun set with so many cute sentiments!  This was quick and easy, but I love the simplicity of it.  You could put just about anything in the speech bubble.  I definitely see myself making a set of these with various sentiments!  Thanks for stopping by today:). I hope you have a great Sunday!

Heard it from a Birdie

Happy weekend, it’s beautiful here in New England!  We so deserve this spring like weather… Only in New England can it be icy and snowy one day, then 60 degrees the next! I think the corner has FINALLY been turned!

Today I decided to share a step-up card with you by SIZZIX.  I used my new STAMPS OF LIFE  birdcage2stamp set, as I promised a week ago.  I thought I might get to it sooner, but it’s been a busy, busy week!  Other than the paper, ink and pearls, everything I used can be found over at TSOL.  I really like this set because it can be used for a variety of occasions, which means I’ll use it more often:). Thanks for stopping by today!  Wherever you may be, I hope you have a wonderful day!  Thanks for taking the time to check out my card today.

You are “Tweet”…

Happy Easter!  However you spend your day, I hope it’s a wonderful one.  I’ll be having family over a little later, so it’s been a very busy weekend for me…. Now that all the prep work is done, I can’t wait for everyone to get here!  I feel badly for anyone planning an Easter egg hunt because there is still so much snow on the ground in my neck of the woods!

Amongst all of my business yesterday, I took a trip to my post office, and my new stamp of the month was waiting there for me!  I couldn’t get back to my car fast enough to look at it:) Once again, I was in love with it, and my head was swirling with ideas and possibilities.  THE STAMPS OF LIFE never disappoints me with my club set.  The set is called BIRDCAGE2STAMP.  Here are a few ideas I came up with yesterday, with more on the way.  All dies and stamp can be found over at TSOL.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!  Enjoy your day!

Don’t you just love the little bird swing?  I love the hearts in the wings too!  There are many little sayings too:)
