More Half A2 Cards/Gate FoldCards

Hello everyone, hope the start of your weekend is off to a great one!  It’s feeling like summer here in New England today, 90 degrees out, my kind of weather:)  In an earlier post I shared a couple gate fold cards using my new die from The Stamps of Life.  It’s been so long since I’ve made this type of card, and using this die makes it so easy, peasy! Endless possibilities…. If you want to check it out, you can find it here at The Stamps of Life.

For my first card I used the basic die in the set, but I used Sizzix/SB Bee Triplit set for the center of my card.  You can find it here. Any triplit set will work ,which is why the possibilities are so endless, and since I have so many, I’ll be experimenting with some others too!  I’m not sure where I got the picket fence, that was a yard sale find a long time ago.  The sentiment is a stamp from TSOL called hive4bees and the tag is made by Sizzix/SB.  The flowers are some fun stickers I found in my stash. I’m entering this card into a challenge over at Dragonfly Journeys called Polka Party that can be found here.

It’s a pretty simple card, but I think it’s cute just the same:)

Last up is another card I made using this set, but this time I didn’t substitute any of the dies.  All the dies used are included in this set.

Again, it’s very simple, but elegant at the same time.

Half A2 Card/Gatefold Thank You

Hello everyone!  Everything that’s old is new again… In this case I’m talking about gatefold cards as most call it, or the new half A2 card that was just released over at The Stamps of Life!  It’s been a long time since I’ve made a gatefold card (that’s what I call it) but when I saw this die set, I just had to have it!  There are so many different cards you can make using it with the many dies it comes with. I happened to need a couple of thank you cards, so I’ll be sharing them today, but will be back soon with some different versions. The possibilities are endless and I have many ideas swirling in my head….but I’ll focus on these for today.

My first card uses this beautiful butterfly in the set.  I love the intricacy of it!

I decided to add a bellyband around my card with a sentiment.  The sentiment was part of a stamp set I received for free from the TSOL for being a club member for a year called thanks4oneyear. Every year on your anniversary date for signing up as a club member, you get a free set of stamps.  I’ve received a couple and they’re awesome! I added the small flowers for interest, which are not included in this set, they are Sizzix/SB Mini Flower Dies. The patterned paper is also by TSOL from the Thanks Collection.

Here’s a peek of the inside which gives you plenty of space to write your message.

This is the other thank you card that uses all of the items I mentioned above, just a different version, which makes this set so much fun!!!

Life’s a Beach

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a nice weekend.  It was a fun and busy one for me… My youngest graduated from college and we had a great party for him with family and friends.  I made these cards a few days back and I’m just getting around to sharing them.  I took advantage of a “Flash Sale” over at The Stamps of Life a little while back and treated myself to these dies.  They are called Life’s a Beach Die Set and you can find them here.

All the stamps & dies I used today are from The Stamps of Life.

First up is a card I made using Life’s a Beach Die Set, flipflop2stamp stamp & die set and hot4balloons to make my sun.

I love the fun and bright colors, it screams summer time which is my favorite season:)!

Next up I used the second of the two dies in Life’s a Beach Die Set along with umbrella4you stamp & die set, flipflop2stamp starfish die and hot4balloons sun die.  

This is pretty simple, but I was happy with how it turned out.

Ruffled Flamingo Feathers

Hello everyone!  I’m here today to share another flamingo card from my May Stamps of Life Club Set.  I shared some in my last post, but I’m having lots of fun with this set and wanted to share one more! You can find the stamp & die set flamingo2stamp here.

To make my card, I used the following products The Stamps of Life Stitched Circles, Thanks Collection Patterned Paper & Sizzix/SB Flower Dies. I thought the feather was a fun touch to add, and the enamel dots gave the flowers a pop of color.

This card is going in the mailbox tomorrow to be delivered to a special friend! She’s been struggling lately and I’m hoping it brings a smile to her face:)

Flamingo Cards

Hello! Today I’m here to share three different cards from my May Club Set, called  flamingo2stamp by The Stamps of Life.  It’s a fun set that has some really fun sentiments included with it.  You can find it here.

The first card I’m sharing is a fun flip-its card! To make this card, I used the following products: Sizzix/SB Oval Flip-its Card Die Set,TSOL Stitched Oval Dies, Sizzix/SB Flower Dies& TSOL Wishes Collection Patterned Paper

This was super quick and easy to put together, from start to finish!

My next card I’m sharing is a birthday card using some additional stamps & dies from TSOL. I stamped and die cut the party hat using  spinner2stamp and used a birthday sentiment from birdcage2stamp. The Stitched Rectangle Dies are a set that I could not live without! Not so long ago, I used to have to measure and cut each layering piece… Not to mention trying to cut each layer perfectly straight, which could sometimes be a challenge for me! I’ll blame it on my eyes or my cutter;) but no longer a problem, thank goodness!

Last up is a card that uses both flamingos in the set. I also used TSOL grass die & Sizzix/SB Flower Die. I added a few heart gem stickers that I found at the Dollar Tree, colored my flamingos and was done.

Vintage Mother’s Day Card

Hello everyone!  Hope your day is going well.  It’s hard to believe that today is the first of May and Mother’s Day is right around the corner!  Today I’m sharing a Mother’s Day card that I made for my mom.  She’s 80 years old and I feel truly blessed to still have her in my life!  She doesn’t look or act like she’s 80, people are always shocked when they find out her true age.  I can only hope her good genes are passed on to me when I’m that age:)
