Eskimo Hugs

Hello everyone!  I hope you’re all well and if you celebrate Thanksgiving it was a great one!  I had a wonderful one, but ate way too much….and it didn’t end there, I’m still eating left over goodies.  On Monday it’s back to the gym and getting back on track!!!

Today I have a couple of fun cards to share with you.  I recently got this Bundle Set from Hero Arts called Warm Hugs that you can find here and I think it’s just adorable.  Here are two different designs that I came up with using only a few of the stamps and dies in the set.

I used some extra fine snow glitter on the igloo and fur trim on the eskimo, but it really doesn’t show in the photo, and used acrylic paint to create the falling snow.

This card went together super quick, and would be simple to make multiples in a set. I just may make some sets for Christmas gifts….  Once again I added glitter for some shimmer, but it doesn’t photograph too well.

Snowman Card

Hello Everyone!  I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend.  Here in New England it’s a cold and blustery day with snow flurries flying….Yuck!  I’m not a fan of cold weather or snow, however, I DO love snowmen and today I have a cute snowman card to share with you.

Here it is:)

The large snowman is called snowman2build with coordinating dies by The Stamps of Life. The baby snowman is from a retired hostess Stampin’Up set called Snow Buddies.  The embossing folder of snowflakes is by Paper Studio from several years ago and the tree die I found at Michaels.

Star Flip-Its Card

Hello everyone!  Today I have a quick and easy card to share with you.  It’s a new card die set that I got from a “Flash Sale” over at The Stamps of Life. It’s a fun interactive card die set called Sizzix/SB Star Flip-Its.  It’s an awesome die set that I love!  I love that it’s such a versatile set!

Here’s my card:

The patterned paper is from TSOL called Ho Ho Ho Collection.My sentiment is from a retired Stampin’Up set that I thought paired perfectly with my star.  I stamped it on a tag die that can also be found over at TSOL called Sizzix/SB Tags and Words Die Set. I made several duplicates of this card in no time at all…I think I’ll be making many more as part of my Christmas card collection I’ll be sending this year:)

Mittens2Stamp

Hello everyone!  I’m back today to share more cards that I made using my November club set, called mittens2stamp/die set by The Stamps of Life.  In my previous post I shared a card using the dies in the set, this time I used the stamps & dies, even combining them with some other TSOL sets.  You can find mittens2stamp with coordinating stamps and dies here.

For my first card I used the Sizzix/SB Heart Step-Ups Card Die Set, along with some TSOL patterned paper and felt which can be found at the link above.

I thought the sentiment paired perfectly with the paper and this die.

Next up,  I used the Oval Flip-Its Card Die Set by Sizzix/SB to make this fun card.

The little dog named “Cookie” is from TSOL stamp set postage2stamp and the gift stamp is from spinner2stamp.  The candycane and felt pieces are all included in the mitten2stamp set.

Here’s another one I made using this set….

And another…. This uses the technique of stamping with Versamark ink and then blending with chalk.  I haven’t used this technique in a very long time!

I think this is one of those types of cards that looks much prettier in “real life”…. The photo doesn’t really do it justice.

Last up, is one of the versions of cards I’m making for my kindergarteners in my classroom.  I used kids2love, snowman2stamp,mittens2stamp all by TSOL and made my snow by using a die by Taylored Expressions.

A Perfect Pair Mittens Card

Hello everyone!  I came home to some happy mail today:)! Sitting on my kitchen counter in today’s mail was my Stamps of Life Club Set called mittens2stamp with mitten dies. I love it!  I especially like that it can be used for Christmas and right through the winter months.  This is what the set looks like:

    

I just used the dies in the set to make my card front.  The felt I used can also be found over at TSOL.

I found the pom pom trim in my “stash jar” and thought it worked perfectly to trim my mittens with.

On the inside of my card I stamped the sentiment:

Close knit friends…that’s you and me!
