Warm Wishes

Hello!  Brrrr…. It’s a very cold and rainy day here in Massachusetts!  I guess that’s partly where my inspiration came from to make this card today.  I am having so much fun with my new SCALLOPED EDGE DROP-INS DIE by SIZZIX/STEPHANIE BARNARD.  Over at THE STAMPS OF LIFE, Stephanie made a video which shows all of the amazing things you can do with all of the drop-ins in this set. There are several different sentiments that go with this.  I just love the look of the cards you can make using this one!   And… Oh yes, there are even more Drop-ins with more to come, we’re told!  Of course I want them all, but I’m trying to behave for now LOL:)

This card was so much fun to make!  Besides the drop-ins, I used the snowman2build set for my sentiment inside my card.  It says, It’s nice to “snow” you!  I also used SIZZIX FRAMELITS TAGS AND WORDS to embellish the corner of my card and SIZZIX WELCOME HOME STAMPS/DIES for the house and tree.  I used paint and a stylus to create the snow,  and a snowman punch for my snowman.  I added some touches of white glitter on the house and rhinestones to look like lights.  I’m happy with how it turned out, but definitely want my summer time weather back!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Feel free to leave a question or comment, I also love to hear from you!  Happy Stamping!

Happy Birthday

Hello!  I hope you are having a fabulous start to your weekend.  Today I’m sharing a card I made for my niece.  It’s amazing how quickly time gets away from you…. Her birthday is in a few days, and this card needs to travel out of state to make it to her on time!  I’m  usually right on top of things like that, but I myself will be having a birthday in a few days, which could explain it in one word, Senility!  LOL. I think I’d rather blame it on mind overload and getting ready for vacation!  That works better for me:)

This is a fun and fast card to make!  All dies and stamps can be found over at THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  I used another version of  the SIzzix/Stephanie Barnard Scalloped Edge Drop-In Die and balloons2cut stamp/die set and added a little sticker on the side. I think it turned out really Sweet!  If you have not had seen these new Drop-in and 3D Drop-Ins Dies be sure to check them out.  I assure you, they are awesome and you will love them!  Thanks for stopping by today.  Feel free to leave me any questions or comments.  Happy Stamping!

“whale” Hello

Today I’m sharing a whale card with you using my May Die Hard Club set, from The Stamps of Life.  The month is almost over, which means a new club set is coming soon! It’s always an exciting time of the month, anticipating what the set will be!  When a new one comes, I usually put the previous stamp set away for a while, so I thought I’d share one last whale card today.

Just about all the products I used are made and designed by SIZZIX/Stephanie Barnard over at THE STAMPS of LIFE.  I used the Sixxix Friends Forever Step-Up Die Set, whales2 stamp, kites2 fly, stamps2build, Sizzix Borders Thinlits Die Set, Sizzix Circles Framelits Die, and Stephanie’s Happy Collection Patterned Paper.  The anchor stamp is made by Hampton art.

I love this particular Step-Up die card design!  I find it easy and fun to embellish, and of course the whale is soooo cute!  Because the Fourth of July is right around the corner, I decided to go with a Red, White and Blue theme. Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful day.  Feel free to leave any questions or comments.  Happy Stamping!

Dropping by with more “Drop-Ins”

Today I have three different drop-in cards to share with you!  These are so much fun, and everything I used can be found over at THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  This version is called FRAMELIT SIZZIX DROP-IN designed by Stephanie Barnard.  I want them ALL!  But…. for now I only own a couple of them.  The best part is there are ENDLESS design possibilities with these.  If you haven’t seen them, check out Stephanie’s video over at THE STAMPS OF LIFE!

This is the first card using chalksayings2stamp and mini flower dies, simple but elegant!

This next one uses birthday4cookie and spinner2stamp. Don’t you love the “drop-in” sentiment?

Lastly, this one was made using bircage2stamp dies for the cage and bird, but the “hello”‘sentiment is another way to use the drop-ins!  Yup, I’m officially in love with these:)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fabulous day:) Feel free to leave me any questions or comments.  If you like these cards be sure to check back soon, there will be more to come!  Happy Stamping!

Happy Father’s Day

Hello!  Today’s card is in honor of my dad.  He’s 79 years old and loves vintage things, so I thought this would be the perfect card for him.  The stand-up card is by SIZZIX/ Stephanie Barnard called ROYAL STAND-UP and can be found over at THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  I just love my stand-up cards with the coordinating dies, it makes card making so much easier!  The car I cut out using my Cricket and cartridge called HERITAGE.  The DP is by Tim Holtz which was perfect for my “vintage” look. The letter stickers were found in my big stash box.   I have no idea where they came from, or how long I’ve had them.  You never know what’s going to turn up in there LOL!   Lastly, the stamps used are all retired STAMPIN’UP sets called LETTERS FROM FRIENDS and IT’S ABOUT TIME.  I cleared out many old stamp sets, but couldn’t part with these two. They are definitely keepers!  And there you have it, quick and easy!

However you spend your Sunday, I hope you have a fabulous day.  I’m off to put this card in an envelope, and head to my dad’s with my husband and boys!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Feel free to leave a question or comment:)

School’s Out For Summer…. Almost

Hello!  I’ve been busy the last few days making a bunch of these cards for my teacher friends.  Our last official day of school is this Thursday:) I don’t ever remember getting out so late!  It was a miserable, cold and snowy winter with too many snow days!  Tomorrow is officially the first day of summer with a forecast of rain, but today is glorious!

Today I’m excited to share with you a new product by SIZZIX/Stephanie Barnard from THE STAMPS OF LIFE called BANNER 3-D DROP-INS!  These are so much fun!  “Drop in” over at her site, you will fall in love with these sets!  I want each and every one of them…they’re so much fun!  I used the flipflops2stamp set with the coordinating dies for the front of the card….

This is where the 3-D comes in!  An unexpected surprise inside:) I chose this particular banner for the inside (there are more to choose from) I die cut the letters to spell “Happy”, which is included in the set, and stamped summer.  I added seashells for more interest and was done!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Feel free to leave a question or comment.  Happy Stamping!

A BIG Hello

A BIG hello to you!  I thought I’d share another whale card with you today.  I’m just having way too much fun with this stamp set.  Other than the little fish swimming, all the stamps and dies are made by THE STAMPS OF LIFE.  The fish punch is by MARVY, I got it years ago when I first got into stamping. I’m so happy I held on to it, because it goes perfectly with this stamp set, whale2stamp.  I also used hot4balloons which was a club set last year (another favorite!) and crayon2stamp to stamp the “hello”.  This whale just makes me smile, and I think any recipient of this card would too!  Thanks for stopping by today and taking a look at another of my whale cards:). Happy stamping!

More whale cards

Today, I’m sharing several more cards I created with the June club set, made by THE STAMPS OF LIFE. It’s called whale2stamp, and since I’m a Die Hard Club member, I even get matching dies. I love this set because you can make so many fun cards!  It can be used for grown-ups or kiddos:)

I thought that since this was a “love” themed card, the little pink heart would be perfect for a cheek.

This next one is a fun flip-it get well card.  These are so much fun!  I used a few different STAMPS OF LIFE sets to make this card.  I used the Square Flip-It #2 die set by SIZZIX/Stephanie Barnard, hot4 balloons to die cut the sun, umbrella2stamp stamp/die for the umbrella and inside sentiment and Mini Flower Die. Inside the card: Sorry to hear you’re under the weather!

This one was really quick and easy!  I used my new Large Rectangle Dies to layer the card stock and designer paper.  Best part, NO MEASURING!  I’m notorious for crooked cuts… I like to blame it on the blade in my paper trimmer, but if the truth be known, it’s ME!  “Hello Sunshine ” is a TRIPlITS DIE made by SIZZIX/ Stephanie Barnard.  It’s just a happy card that could be used for many different occasions.

This last one is  fun too! I am in love with step-up cards!  This one is the HAPPY BIRTHDAY STEP-UP by SIZZIX/ Stephanie Barnard.  I used my new whale set, but a couple other STAMPS OF LIFE ones too. The balloon was  made by using balloons2cut stamp/die, the candles and sentiment were stamped with candles4birthday.  Inside the card: Blow out the candles…. This card went together in no time at all.  The best kind and I love it!

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a look!  I hope I inspired you to make some cards of your own.  Now, on to the not so fun part, clean up of my desk filled with paper, stamps and dies!  ( HUGE SIGH….)  Until next time, Happy Stamping!

“Sea” you Soon!

It’s the beginning of the month which is always an exciting time for me.  I get to see the new STAMPS OF LIFE DIE HARD CLUB STAMP SET!   That’s a mouthful to say, LOL…. Woo Hoo!  Here it is:) I love it, and it’s perfect for the summertime.  My next few posts will be dedicated to this new set called WHALE2STAMP.  Isn’t it just the cutest set?  There are more sentiments that come with it too and some great dies!  I used the SIZZIX TRIPLITS DIE- HELLO SUNSHINE, LOVE STORY COLLECTION PATTERNED PAPER and MINI FLOWER DIES which can also be found over at TSOL.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to stop back if you like this stamp set, there will be more cards coming:). Have a wonderful day:)

Keep Your Standards High

Hello!  Today I have a “retro” style card to share with you.  I recently had to have some surgery done, and my sister came for a visit with a bag of stamping goodies for me:). This stamp, along with a matching sentiment was part of it.  The stamps are made by HAMPTON ART.  Inside the card the sentiment says:  Always keep your head, your heels and your standards high.  I’m not so sure I agree with the heel part LOL;). I die cut the lacy oval using my SPELLBINDERS DIE and used a punch from EK SUCCESS for the flowers.  I thought the pink and gray color scheme worked perfectly for the style card.  Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful day:). Happy Stamping!
