Winter Bunny Card and Christmas Card

Hello everyone!  Today I’m here to share a nontraditional Christmas card with you. A few weeks back I went to a Stamp & Scrap Yard Sale…It was so much fun!!!! You could buy gently used old stamps and dies, or brand new ones.  I used some of my great finds to make this card.

I used the following to create this card: Winter Bunny stamp by Lawn Fawn, Taylored Expressions Rolling Hills Die, Darcie Tree Border Die, TSOL Large Rectangle Dies and a Marvy Sowflake Punch.

My card is shimmery, but it did not photograph well.  I sponged my sky using a scalloped circle and used white acrylic paint for snow.  The sentiment inside reads: The road to a friends house is never too long…. A Merry Christmas from our house to yours.  I think it’s fun to make untraditonal Christmas cards with nontraditional colors!

I have one more card to share with you that IS very traditonal for Christmas…. I posted a few cards a couple weeks back using my Stamps of Life Club set called gingerbread2stamp with the coordinating GIRLgingerbread2stamp stamp & die set. The patterned paper is also TSOL from the Ho Ho Collection. You can find all of these stamps and dies here.

Scalloped Thank You Card

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend.  It’s been a very busy one for me, but I managed to get some “stamping therapy” in;)

I have an amazing coworker who helped me out last week in a BIG way and I wanted to make this card for her.  It was pretty simple and quick to make, but I love the “fallish” look to it.

To make this card I used stamps and dies from Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard at The Stamps of Life. I used the following: Scalloped Edge Drop-in Card Die Set, Leaf Triplit and thanks4twoyears stamp set (a free set I got for being a Stamps of Life  Die Hard Club Member on my two year anniversary:) The designer paper is by Echo Park called Fall is in the Air.

As I said, pretty simple, but I love those warm, autumn colors!

Gingerbread Boy/Girl Cards

Hello everyone! I’m here today to share some gingerbread boy and gingerbread girl cards with you.  I’ve always loved anything gingerbread and when my kids were small, we always decorate gingerbread men and houses every Christmas. This month’s Stamps of Life Club Set is called gingerbread2stamp which I was super excited about. It’s soooo cute!  I also took advantage of the Flash Sale at TSOL  and ordered Girl gingerbread2stamp stamp/die set.

I paired gingerbread2stamp/die set with Sizzix Jar Stamps & Dies which can also be found over at TSOL.

The patterned paper is from the HOHO Collection also found at TSOL.

My next card combines the gingerbread boy and gingerbread girl along with Sizzix Jar Stamps & Dies Set. I have no idea who made the house die I used…it was purchased at a yard sale long ago and there is no name on it.  Sorry!

Aren’t they the sweetest little gingerbread couple?  If you love gingerbread boys/girls you definitely should check out these stamp sets!  I’ll be back again soon with some more cards using these sets…It feels great to have a start on my Christmas cards:)

Fox and Owl Cards

Hello everyone! October 2nd today… I can’t even believe it!  Where did September go?  It’s a much needed rainy day here in New England, perfect for card making!  I have a few fun and cute cards to share with you.

Whooooo doesn’t like owls?  Sorry… I couldn’t resist!  This is a fun Sizzix Fold-A-Long die I used to make these two owl cards.  If you want to check out the die, you can find it HERE.

Isn’t he cute?  I used patterned paper from The Stamps of Life, called Happiness Collection which can be found here.

I die cut my sentiment using a die from TSOL which coordinates with scarecrow2stamp.

And here’s another version…

The sentiment from owls2love by TSOL works perfectly with this die:) I’m not sure where I got the designer paper from  because I found it in my stash box.

Next up, are some cute fox cards.  These are the same concept as the owl by Sizzix, but called Fox Label Fold-A-Long found HERE.
