Gift Card/Tag Holder Cards

Hello everyone!  I can’t believe the summer is flying by sooooo fast!  Where does the time go?  I’m just returning from a two week vacation that was both restful and fabulous!  I spent time visiting  George Washington’s house and the Smithsonian Museums, then off to Ocean City, MD to meet up with family at the beach.

The cards I’m sharing today, I made a little while back, but I’m just getting around to posting them.  I used a die set that I recently got from The Stamps of Life, and I absolutely love it! It’s called Tag Holder Die Set.  I’m teaching a card class in August, and these are two of the five I plan on teaching.  The other three are still a work in progress…..

I love how you can use this die as a tag holder, or,  as I did, I used the die that comes in the set to make the inside tag a gift card holder on both of my cards.

First up is a coffee gift card.  Dunkin Donuts is my favorite coffee place, and definitely keeps me running most days:)

To make this card I used: Sizzix/Tim Holtz embossing folder, Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Stamps & Dies and TSOL coffee4two stamp/die set and small heart punch.

My next card has no stamping involved on the card front at all.  Other than the larger star, I used all dies included in the set.  I think it’s a fun and happy gift card/card!

Kindness and Hugs Cards

Hello everyone!  I hope the start to your week is going well:)  I’m sharing two different cards I made for friends today.  They’re both super quick and fun cards to make.

My first card is a thank you card I made for a friend.  To make this card I used The Stamps of Life set  chalksayings2stamp for my sentiment on the front, and a very old, retired stamp set from Stampin’Up,  which I still love, called Citrus and Such.  I thought it made a perfect summer thank you card.

Back in the day, there were no die cutting machines, never mind coordinating dies with stamps…  Yup, all fussy cutting… I remember trying to cut those oranges out perfectly round!  Fast forward many years, and yes, there are circle dies and so many others!  At this point, I couldn’t imagine life without my Sizzix machines and Cricut when making my cards!

My next card uses my July Club Set from TSOL called hedgehog2stamp.  In my last post, I shared a couple of cards I made with this set too.  I paired this set with Sizzix/SB Mini Flower Dies, Friends Forever Step-Ups Card Die Set for my trio of flowers and Sizzix/SB Windows Framelits with Stamps for my butterflies.  The hills were cut with a die by Taylored Expressions called Rolling Hills.

The inside sentiment says: Don’t sweat the small stuff!  My friend is feeling slightly overwhelmed these days, so I wanted to send this out to her to brighten her day:)  I hope she likes it!

Hedgehog Cards

Hello everyone!  It’s the beginning of the month, which means it’s time to share my new club set from The Stamps of Life.  This month’s set is called hedgehog2stamp and it’s super cute! I have the coordinating dies too, because I’m a Die Hard Club Member:)

Isn’t this adorable?!

I had a chance to play today and made a couple of cards. It was close to 100 degrees today and very humid…A great day to stay in the air conditioning!

My first card is a shaker card.  Along with my new stamp set, I used some other products by TSOL.  I used: Thanks Collection Patterned Paper, Sizzix/SB Circle Dies, Sizzix/SB Scallop Circle Die Set, happymail2stamp for my envelope and a heart die from my Heart Step-Ups Card Die Set.

Inside my card I stamped the sentiment: Don’t sweat the small stuff!

My next card uses the club set paired with some other TSOL products.  I used: Hooray Collection Patterned Paper, Sizzix/SB Circle Dies, pinwheels2stamp Stamp & Die Set, Grass Die, Sizzix/SB Mini Flower Dies and Powdered Sugar Felt.

Inside of my card I stamped the sentiment: You got this!  I love the word die that comes with this set too!

Both of these cards will go into my stash for a rainy day:)

How Sweet it is Patriotic Card

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with a card that I’m entering into two different challenges.  The first one is a CAS challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers that you can find here called Cool Treats.  Since it’s the fourth of July, I thought I would go with a red, white & blue theme.  With this in mind, I carried it on to the next challenge I wanted to participate in at Dragonfly Journeys by adding stars to my card.  The theme for that challenge is A Star is Born.  You can find that challenge here.

To make this card I used The Stamps of Life stamps and dies.  I used the pops2eat stamps and dies to make my popsicles and  Stitched Rectangle Dies for my red, white and blue layers. I die cut my stars in silver sparkle paper and glittered the pops.

This was a fun card to make!  I’m not quite sure how CAS it is….I have a hard time not adding those little “extras” to my cards, but I still like it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time… Happy Stamping!
