Christmas Cards

Hello!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was a very busy, but productive one!  I even managed to get some Christmas shopping done without even leaving the house.  Today I have a few different  kinds of Christmas cards to share with you.  The first two are cards that I entered into the Sizzix/Stamps of Life Flip-it Card Contest.  https://thestampsoflife.com

The first one is a gift card holder. I just love this die because it can be used as a gift card holder or a regular flip-it card, depending on which dies you choose to use in the set.

Other than the paper and embellishments, everything I used is from TSOL.  I used: Rectangle Gift Card Flip-its Card Set, stocking2stamp/dies and Sizzix Tags & Words

The next card is another flip-its card that was super easy and quick to make!

This flip-its is made using Playful Flip-its Card Set.  I die cut all the pieces and assembled it adding the lace and my sticker finds from the Dollar Tree!  I love the vintage look to this one.  All dies I used for these two cards can be found over at https://thestampsoflife.com

This was so much fun to make!  I embellished the house with some glitter, stickers and a snowman stamp/die made by Hampton. This house die is actually supposed to be used to make an album, but I think it’s perfect for cards!

Stepping Up to the Holiday Season

Hello!  Happy day after Thanksgiving!  I hope you had a wonderful day.  It’s official, the holiday season has begun!  I’m not a Black Friday shopper…. I hate to admit it, but I’m one of those shoppers who usually finishes on December 23rd!  After a day of cooking and over eating, I headed straight to the gym early this morning, and then back home to relax. I decided to work on a Christmas card, so today I have a card to share with you using all http://thestampsoflife.com

I love step-up cards and snowmen!  I used a few different stamp and die sets to make this card.  The following are the sets I used:  Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Basic Step-Up Card set, snowman2stamp w/dies, Sizzix Bird & Tree stamp/die set, owl2stamp w/ dies and for the Joy sentiment fireplace2stamp w/dies .  I embellished with some stickers and trim.  Other than the embellishments and paper, everything can be found over at http://thestampsoflife.com

Oh Baby

Hello and happy Saturday, I hope you’re off to a wonderful start to the weekend!  I’m here today to share a baby card with you.  I made this one for a friend who just found out she’s having a baby boy!  Being a mom to 3 boys myself, I could not be happier for her!

To make this card I used all products from The Stamps of Life.  It’s a flip-it card that went together very quickly.  I used Oval Flip-its Card Set to make my card base, Oh Baby, Triplits to die cut the onsie, ducks and sentiment, then onsie4baby to create the sailboat patterned paper.  I added some twine and ribbon for the finishing touches, along with a Congratulations stamped on the inside of the card.

Thankful and Happy Wishes

Hello!  I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.  Today I’m sharing two cards with you.  My first card reflects the way I’m feeling today,  So very thankful….  Thankful for my wonderful husband, children, family, friends and to have my health. To me, those are the things that dreams are made up of, and I’m truly grateful to have all of them!

I plan to send this card out to family for Thanksgiving.  I used Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Royal Stand Up Card Die for my card’s base and I die cut my leaves using TSOL Leaf Triplits.  The basket and hello die can also be found over at TSOL.  The “so thankful” stamp is one that I got in a bin at Michaels for a dollar a few years back and the ” for you” is part of a Stampin’Up set. Sorry…. it’s from a long time ago, so I’m not sure which set it went with.

My next card is for someone very special, my mom.  She is turning 80 years old, although she could pass for 60! She is amazing!  Tomorrow we’re having a surprise party for her and this is the card I made for her.

My mom loves shabby chic, so that is the look I was trying to achieve.  I used TSOL birdcage2stamp dies to make my bird in the cage.  The oval is a die from Spellbinder.

Now for the inside surprise… I used Sizzix Stephanie Barnard 3-D Flower Drop-ins

I think it definitely looks shabby chic, and I’m looking forward to giving it to her!

Shakers and Holiday Cards

Hello!  I’m back today to share a couple of shaker and holiday cards that I have been working on. I’ve been seeing shaker cards EVERYWHERE and since I don’t typically make them, I wanted to give it a try.  It was actually lots of fun, and it left me with lots of ideas of more shakers I’d like to make.

This card uses the Sizzix/Tim Holtz  Window Die along with the Lovely Tree stamp set by Stampin’Up.  I also used a snowflake embossing folder by Darcie.

I finished my card by punching out a few snowflakes and adding the ribbon.  It’s hard to tell in the picture, but the “glitter/snow”, sparkles and shines.  The best part…  after shaking it over and over, the glitter stays put without coming out of the card.  Success:)

My next shaker card is not a holiday one, but it is a happy card!

The sentiment, sun and pinwheel are all made by Sizzix/TSOL.  I used pinwheel2stamp, hello die, Hello Sunshine Triplit and Mini Flower Dies along with some that I used a punch for.

This card uses all Sizzix/TSOL products.  I used Lovely Drop-ins, owl2stamp and Bird & Tree stamp/die set.  I love the little owl in his Santa hat!

My last card I’m sharing today also uses Sizzix/TSOL products. I’m calling it Holiday Smiles.  Personally, sometimes I get so wrapped up “literally” in preparation for the holidays, that I forget to slow down, enjoy them and smile!  So… this card is a reminder for myself.  It’s a fun flip-it card that uses Large Circle #4 Flip-its Card Set, camera2stamp and snowman2stamp.

What’s Shaken?

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend.  The weather here in New England has just been glorious, so glorious that I wish I could bottle it up for the days that I know are just ahead of us!  Over the weekend, I did find time to play with my new November Stamps of Life Die Hard Club Set called saltshaker2stamp.  It’s an adorable set with some great sentiments included.  I have a few different cards to share with you today using this set.  All stamps and dies I used can be found over at http://thestampsoflife.com.

My first card uses the largest shakers in the set.  I love the What’s Shaken? sentiment!  I used the Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Rectangle/Gift Card Flip-its Set for my card’s base.  Not much stamping going on here…just the sentiment.  Everything else was die cut.

I think it’s knd of cute and hope you like it too!

For my next card, I decided to do a little stamping along with some die cutting.  The card base is another flip-it using Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Large Circle #4 Flip-its Card Set.  This time I decided to die cut the cute sentiment.  It reads, you spice up my life!  I used metallic paper which made it difficult to photograph. In “real life” you can easily read the sentiment clearly.  I cut the center out of my flip-it, so that I could have the shakers dangling and added the hearts around the border of the circle.

Next, I made my own patterned paper by stamping the small shakers in coordinating colors.  I die cut the large shaker and added some glitter to give the appearance of salt,  then I  added some gems here and there for even more sparkle. Lastly, I attached the ribbon and was done. There is a “secret panel” on this card to give you room to write on the inside.

My next card pairs up with another Stamps of Life stamp set called list2write with the coordinating die Notebook Edge. Once again, I used Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Rectangle/Gift Card Flip-its to make this card too.

I stamped and die cut the shaker, cut the arrows, added the paperclip and was done.  I think this is a fun card, and it went together super quick!

The last card I’m sharing with you today is not a club set, but is a Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard stamp and die set.  I have had my eye on this set for a while now, and recently treated myself to it.  I can see myself using this for many different occasions.

To make this card I used the Oval Flip-its Card Set, Tags & Words and  Flowers & Vase Stamps & Dies.

Flip-it Celebrations and More….

Hello!  I’m back today with a few more flip-it cards to share.  All of the flip-it card dies can be found over at http://thestampsoflife.com.  I had lots of fun making these cards, and all they went together quickly which is one of the reason why I love flip-its so much!

My first celebration card to share with you is one I made for my niece’s upcoming birthday.  She absolutely LOVES pigs, so I felt that this was the perfect card to make for her!

All of the stamps and dies are from The Stamps of Life.  I used Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Large Circle #4 Flip-it Card Set, piggybank2stamp and Happy Birthday Drop-in.

The next card is a Congratulations one.  Lately, I’ve been on an owl kick… I just love them and think they’re super cute!

I used Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Fancy Frame #2 Flip-its Card Set, owls2stamp, Mini Tags & Words, Mini Flower Dies and  banners4all.  I had this paper tucked away in my stash which was perfect to use with this card!

My dog cards uses Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Rectangle/Gift Card Flip-it Set. I like this die set  because it’s so versatile.  It can be a gift card, or a traditional style flip-it card.  There’s no gift card attached in this one, but I love the image stamped on it!

Isn’t he an adorable little pup?  His little sweater just cracks me up!  The sentiment on the card front is from TSOL snowman2stamp.  All of the other stamps used came with the set from Inkadinkadoo. It’s an adorable stamp set that came with some other dog stamps that are just as cute!  I hope to ink them up real soon!

The last flip-it uses Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Large #4 Circle Flip-its Card Set too.  No stamping on this one…. only dies used!  Sizzix  Icecream Stamp & Die Set  was used to make the icecream cone, the sentiment is from watermelon2stamp and I die cut the hearts for a topping.

I entered three of these cards into the Flip-its contest that is taking place over at The Stamps of Life.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I win so I can chose a free Flip-its Card Set of my choice!

Holiday Cards

Hello!  I hope you’re having a fabulous start to your weekend.  I can’t believe that in a few short hours it will be November!  Where does the time go?  Today I have a few different holiday cards to share with you.  The holidays will be here before we know it…..

The first card I made is from Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Oval Flip-its Card Die Set.  I found this cute little owl button at Walmart today, and knew exactly what I wanted to do with him.  I thought he was so cute!  This flip-it was quick to put together.  I made the scene by painting the snow falling and partially covering my oval to look like snow on the ground. Then I die cut trees from TSOL stocking2stamp.  Lastly, I made my ornament by using TSOL ornament2stamp.  I was pleased with the finished product and think it’s a cute card:)

The next card is a Thank you card using Lovely Drop-ins by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard.  I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to give my card some texture. I put  another cute owl button on this one as well. Next, I made my branch by trimming down Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Bird & Tree die. Lastly, I punched out the small snowflakes and added the silver veneer snowflakes on the corners.  I added a red pearl on the centers and was done.

The last card I have to share today uses Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard 3-D Drop-ins.  On these type of cards you decorate the card front as well as the inside.  I used Sizzix Tags & Words to cut out my tag, then used snowman2stamp to make my snowman with the sentiment.  I added my tree buttons with the other embellishments to finish off my card front.

And here’s the inside….

I used my Martha Stewart snowflake punch to add the large flakes, then added the diamond gems to the centers. The “happy” is a die cut from TSOL.
