Birthday Wishes and Thinking of you

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great and restful weekend.  As for me, it was very busy, but I still managed to make it into my stamping room.

Last week, I got the brand new 5×7 Flip-Its Card Die Set that was released by Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard over at The Stamps of Life.  You can find it here

When I saw this die set, I had to have it, because I’m in love with Flip-Its cards…  They are so fun, quick and easy to make!

First up, is the birthday card, using many of the different dies that come in the set.  Absolutely no stamping on this card!  I left the flip side blank to write my message on. Super easy and quick!

Next up, is the thinking of you version.  To make this card I only used the basic dies in the set and paired it with other sets.  I used Sizzix/SB Butterfly Triplits, Sizzix Circle Dies, Sizzix Flower Dies & Bubbly Stand-Up Card Set (for the sentiment)

I also decided to leave the flip side blank on this one too.  These larger flip-its give you lots more room to write.  A good thing for me, because my handwriting is ginormous!!! Is that even a real word?  As for the handwriting, I blame it on teaching elementary school aged kids for so long, LOL;)

I added a few embellishments, and was done in no time at all!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL your visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!

Desktop Cards

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday!  I hope the start of your week has been a good one, the weekend is half way here:)

Today I’m sharing two fun cards with a stamp & die set by Papertreyink called Desktop Design.  You can find it here

It’s a really fun and versatile set with so many possibilities…. Here’s what I came up with!IMG_1892 (2)

This is the first one I made.  I love how you can stamp different sentiments on the typewriter paper, and it die cuts separately.  I plan on giving this card to our secretary at work…. Perfect for her!

Next up is another fun one!  I made this one for a teacher friend who I have not seen in a while.  Just another version with the same set.

When I saw this stamp set, I just had to have it!  I think it’s so much fun!  From time to time, I hold stamping classes in my home, and plan to have another one using this set.  Many of my friends that come are teachers, so we’ll have to make one or two different cards using this set;)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Let me know what you think.  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!

Sparkle and Shine

Hello and Happy Friday!  The weekend is almost officially here… Today I’m sharing a card with a sentiment that I absolutely LOVE!  The stamp set is called upliftingwords2hear by The Stamps of Life.  You can find it here along with the Butterfly Triplits I used.

This was a really fun card to make, which took no time at all.  Okay, here it goes, (big sigh…) I’m going to confess… I can’t believe I’m going to admit this, but I actually used a kid’s set of Crayola paints to watercolor my background.  I really do need to get some BIG GIRL watercolors, LOL!

First, I watercolored my background, then painted another piece for my butterfly.  I stamped the sentiment, added some gemstones and was finished.  I love the softness of these colors together!  I have a very special friend who needs to hear these words right now, so this is card is heading straight to the mailbox to be sent to her!

Hopping on by to say, Hi

Hello, and happy hump day! Today, I have two fast and easy cards to share with you.  I’m working on some Easter cards, because before you know it, it will be here!

This isn’t a newly released stamp set, but it’s new to me.  The stamp & die set I used today is called chocolatebunny2stamp by The Stamps of Life.  If you want to check it out, you can find it here.

For today, I decided not to make chocolate bunnies, but pastel bunnies:)  This card went together super fast!  I used the following TSOL products: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Blessings Collection Patterned Paper and Sizzix/SB Flowers & Vase Stamp & Die Set.

I think he’s kind of cute:)

I used the exact same products to make this one, with the exception of the oval die by Spellbinders.  I love his little cotton tail, and again… so fast and easy to make!

Scalloped Edge Hearts and Hippo Cards

Hello!  Happy Monday everyone!  It is an extended weekend for me, because today was a snow day, no school for me.  Technically, I think we could have gone today, but better safe than sorry…. Since it’s our first cancellation, I’ll take it:)

Today, I’m sharing a few different cards, a Valentine, and some hippo cards from my January Stamps of Life Club set.

First up is a Valentine’s Day card.  I’m playing along in a couple different challenges.  The first one is here at Splitcoast Stampers, and the next is here at Dragonfly Journeys.

To make this card, I used the following: Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Scalloped Edge Drop-Ins, A Child’s Year Cricut Cartridge, Darcie & Provo Craft embossing folders and Sizzix/SB heart dies

My next two cards use my new hippo2stamp club set, and can be found here if you want to check it out.

This card was so much fun to make!  After watercoloring my paper, I stamped my hippo and die cut him out.  I made her “hip” sunglasses by diecutting 2 circles, and then added the nose and ear pieces.  I die cut the flowers and bird which are both  included in the set, and lastly I stamped the grass, which is really flower stems in the set, then assembled the Scalloped Edge Drop-In pieces.

I thought she needed a fancy pedicure too;)

IMG_2793

My last card was really simple to make.  I just sponged my background sky, stamped the grass and added the sentiment, hippos, bird, flower and sun.  I used watermelon2stamp for my sentiment and die cut my sun using hot4balloons.  The bee is a little sticker I thought would be cute to embellish with.

Joy and Sunshine Cards

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.  Phew, this weekend sure flew by for me!  They all seem to, but this one seemed to go wayyyyy too fast!!!  Today I have two cards to share with you. All of the stamps & dies I used can be found here over at The Stamps of Life.

First up, is my “Hello Sunshine” Box Card.  I know I post a lot of them, but at the moment it’s my favorite die set to play with:)

IMG_2770

Isn’t this fun?  It’s even more fun to make!  I used the following stamps & dies from TSOL to make this: Box Card Die Set, Sizzix Bird & Tree Stamp/Die Set, Friends Forever Step-Ups for flowers, heart dies, Sizzix Window Stamp/Die Set for butterflies and Hello Sunshine Triplits

Next up, is my Joy is Contagious Card.

IMG_2766

After watercoloring my background, I cut my panels using the new Stitched Rectangle Set from TSOL and stamped upliftingwords2hear for my sentiment.  The flower is from a free set called thanks4one year that I received as a gift,  for my one year anniversary club membership:) The flower didn’t photograph too well, but it has lots of white shimmery glitter on it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!
