You are Sweet Lemonade Card

Hello everyone!  I’m here today with a quick share of a card that I’m entering into a challenge.  The challenge is over at Dragonfly Journeys. If you participate in, or want to try out some fun challenges, then you should check Jeannie’s out.  Her cards always inspire me, she’s so talented!

I don’t use my embossing folders nearly enough, so I was happy to see that this is what the challenge involved.  I used the Swiss Dot embossing folder by Provo Craft.  I think this was the first embossing folder I ever purchased way back when…. I love those little dots and this folder:) I used lemonade2drinkandmorelemonade2stamp  stamps & dies by The Stamps of Life for my card.

I love summertime and lemonade!

I found this paper in my stash box that I didn’t even remember having!  I have no idea where it came from, but it worked perfectly:)

New Home and Thank You Card

Hello everyone!  Today I have two different cards to share.  One is a thank you for a coworker,  and the other is box card for my niece who just moved many states away and purchased her first home.

First up, is the thank you card.  It’s for my coworker who owns an ocean front home and spends her summers sailing along Cape Cod.  I thought this card would be perfect for her:)

IMG_2021

I created my sky by using three scalloped circles glued together and a sponge dobber.  Super easy technique!  The hot air balloons, sun and sentiment are from The Stamps of Life , called hot4balloons.  The sailboat and anchor die are made by Spellbinders. The water was made with a stamp & die also made by TSOL called flipflops2stamp.

Here is the inside:

The stamps used on the banner are part of  TSOL June Stamp Club set called flowerpower2fill

The other sentiment is one I got in one of those big bins at Michael’s made by Studio g

Next up, is my Box Card which is an exclusive set from TSOL. You can find it here.

These cards are soooo easy to make with this die!  I use this die all the time, I just love it!

Once again I used hot4balloons for some accent pieces and houses4us all by TSOL. I decorated the sides of the box using Sizzix/SB Mini Flower Dies.

Bridal Shower Invitation Gatefold Card

Hello everyone! I hope your weekend is off to a fantastic start.  There’s nothing but sunny skies and gorgeous weather here in New England!

It’s been a very busy week in my stamping room. I’ve been making Bridal Shower invitations for my future daughter-in-law’s upcoming shower. I’m happy to say that they are signed, sealed and delivered to the Post Office as of today!

To make my invitations I used the Sizzix/SB Half A2 Card Die set from The Stamps of Life. It’s a fun die set with many possibilities that you can find here. I used Sizzix/SB Flower Dies to create my flowers, and topped them with a dimensional flower gem stick on. The Embossing Folder is made by Sizzix, but I’m not sure of the name of it. The Bridal Shower sentiment is a retired stamp from Stampin’Up. Yes, these cards were time consuming making multiples, but I used the Sizzix Big Shot PLUS Machine which was a life saver!  If you’re not familiar with it, it will fit an 8 1/2″ piece of cardstock, which meant I could fit more dies on it  than if I were using the standard size machine.  I own both and typically use the the standard size machine, but for projects like this, it’s a must to use the bigger machine!

Here is my card:

The belly band slides off and displays all of the information for the shower.  My future daughter-in-law wanted something simple and elegant and loved the finished product, which made me very happy:)

Stay tuned for the wedding invitation…  I designed their more intricate wedding invitation, with some input from the happy couple.  My daughter-in-law and I  are going to be very busy, but first I need to finish the shower favors:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!  Be sure to stop back real soon.  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!

Happy Father’s Day Slider Card

Hello everyone!  I’m here today to share a Father’s Day card that I made for my dad. Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads’ out there!  My dad loves our family more than anything in this whole world, a close second would be working outdoors.  My dad is 80 years old , but spends his days working in his big garden, planting flowers and landscaping.  Before he retired, his job was taking care of the grounds at an army base.  Therefore, I thought this would be the perfect card to make for him.  I tried to replicate his house and truck the best I could, but either way, I think he’ll love his card!

I used stamps from The Stamps of Life and a retired set from Stampin’Up to create my card. I used houses4us stamp set for my house and fussy cut it out. The clouds and tree  stamps & dies are made by Sizzix/SB that I found at Hobby Lobby.  The retired Stampin’Up set is called Loads of Love.  I believe it was released in 2004, and I love it today as much as I did back then.  There’s all kinds of fun things you can load in the back of the truck, along with some great sentiments. The slider die I used is sooo much fun and so easy!!!  That can be found here at The Stamps of Life. Who doesn’t love an interactive card?!

Here’s my card.  The sentiment stamped inside says: Those who plant kindness harvest love. Then I stamped Happy Father’s Day.

***Just a hint for you on slider/spin cards…If you use square foam dimensionals,  your stamped image will slide. If you use dimensional dots, it will spin. On my card, I used square because I wanted my truck to appear like it was driving back & forth.***

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments! Be sure to stop back real soon.  Until the next time….Happy Stamping!!!

Whale Box Card

Hello everyone!  I’m here today to share a fun, summery box card. In my previous post, I mentioned that I was asked to teach card making in a local studio that just opened in my area. I’m soooo excited !!!!  The studio also teaches sewing, quilting, scrapbooking, painting and techniques with different mediums.  Fun stuff… I may just have to take a class or two.  I certainly could use some help with copics!  Everyone loved the box card I had on display, so I thought I’d add another one to the collection to teach:)

Here it is, easy peasy for a first, or long time stamper/card maker.

IMG_3342 (1)

It’s simple, but super cute, I think:) My Stamps of Life stamps and dies makes this so easy to create.  All the stamps & dies are made by TSOL.  I used the Box Card Die that can be found here and whale2stamp stamp & die set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments!   Be sure to stop back again soon.  Until the next time….Happy Stamping!

Flower and Balloon Cards

Hello everyone! I hope the start to your weekend is going well, it’s hard to believe it’s almost mid June.  I have 4 1/2 days left of work until my summer vacation…Woo Hoo! I truly love my kindergartners, but love the summer break until the end of August to recharge.

I have some fun cards to share with you today.  I recently was asked to teach some card making classes at a new shop that is opening in my area, these will be the first three I teach.  They’re interactive ones that I thought would be fun for all to make.

My first card is a slider card…a type of card I have not made in a very long time!  The Stamps of Life recently came out with a Penny Slider Die that makes it super easy to make this card.  You can find it here.

I also used the following products from TSOL: Large Rectangle Dies, hot4balloons stamp/die set & TSOL Patterned Paper

IMG_2008

The inside says sentiment says: here’s to a great day!  So much fun sliding that balloon back and forth, my husband even had to give it a try:)

Next up, is a 5×7 Sizzix/SB Circle Flip-Its Card with stamps and dies from TSOL June Club Set called flowerpower2fill & patterns4flowers found  here . I love the sentiments that come in this set! I paired this set with my Grass Die and Triplit Bird Set all from TSOL as well.

IMG_2007

I  love the larger flip-its because of the extra real estate it gives you:)

My last card is another one that features flowers, but in a box card.  This is an exclusive box card die set by TSOL that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE!  I made this card soooo fast!  You can find the Box Die here

IMG_2005

There are flowers that come with the box die, but I chose to use various bigger flowers because I wanted to use the stem stamp & die from flowerpower2fill that I used in my flip-its card.  I also used Hello Sunshine Triplits Die Set & Wishes Collection Patterned Paper all by TSOL

It’s a fun birthday card and folds flat to mail or put in an envelope.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments.  Be sure to stop back again soon!  Until the next time… Happy Stamping!

Flowerpower Cards

Hello everyone, hope your day is going well!  I’m here today to share some cards I made using my June stamp & die set from The Stamps of Life.  It’s called flowerpower2fill and you can check the set out here.

You can never have enough flower stamps, right?  I LOVE flowers which is why I have many flower stamps, but many of them don’t have coordinating stamps to change the petals or coordinating dies that go along with them, which is why I love this set so much. The set also has some great sentiments that go along with it in a cursive font.

First up,  is a very clean and simple card I made.  Easy peasy…. but the exact look I was trying to achieve.

IMG_2001

Next is another one I made, but used the dies as my focal point.  To make this I used some other products by TSOL too. I used: Large Rectangle Dies, Lemonade and Storm cardstock, Blessings Collection Patterned Paper & Stitched Rectangle Dies.

IMG_1997

I love the flower, but have to say…those bumblebees are just sooooo cute!!!

My next version of this card is made with the Bubbly Stand-Ups Card Die Set by Sizzix/SB. I’ve been neglecting my Stand-Ups lately,  so I decided to pull this one out from my stash for today.  I think I need to move them to a more visible spot so I use them more often.  Although…if you could see my stamping room right now, you would not see much at all, only a mess!  It’s a complete disaster !!!  Time to clean, maybe after this post, and that’s a BIG maybe;)

IMG_1996

I love that the petals stamp coordinates with TSOL Thanks Collection Patterned Paper🙂

My last share of the day is my card that I used Sizzix/SB Flowers/Sentiments Scalloped Edge Drop-Ins.  This is a die that I use quite often because I love those scalloped edges.

IMG_1995

I made my own patterned paper by stamping the flower centers and decided to stamp the petals in a solid color.  To me, orange and yellow are such happy colors!

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I truly appreciate ALL visits, questions and comments.  Until the next time…. Happy Stamping!
